If you are a fan of Avengers, you might have already noticed that Gamora has been missing from the film. Although she is not the main character, she plays a vital role in the story and is one of the most important characters of the movie. Now, you might be wondering if she dies, or if she is going to be back.
Infinity War
Gamora was a beloved character of the Marvel cinematic universe. Her death was a major plot point in Avengers: Infinity War. She was also the Guardian of the Multiverse, and a key member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. But her demise is hardly a complete story. Here are some of the best bits from her storied existence.
First, there was the fact that Gamora had the most expensive suit in the Marvel movie universe. It was gold and diamonds, and even looked like something from a fantasy realm. That was because it was a replica of the armored version she wore in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies.
Second, there was the surprisingly elegant way to dispose of Gamora. Thanos had a plan. He abducted her, and when he returned to his own dimension, he had to sacrifice her. A lot of fans thought that this was going to be the end of the road for the Guardians of the Galaxy, but it was not.
Third, there was the ominous, but not necessarily ominous, way to kill Gamora. Thanos had thrown her off a cliff. At first, it was not clear what this was all about. Then he figured it out and showed her that he was sad, and that he was crying. This was the biggest reveal of the movie.
Finally, there was the most interesting and probably the most important thing of all. This was the time heist that let Gamora travel to the future. Not only did it save her life, but she was able to visit the Marvel cinematic universe’s main timeline.
Of course, the biggest surprise came when the real thing happened. Thanos really did take Gamora to Vormir. Using his powers, he killed half the population of Gamora’s planet. With the rest of her people dead, she had a choice to make: either give in to Thanos or go on the run.
Clearly, there was more to Gamora’s death than just a few ill-advised stabbings. And James Gunn made sure to have that story, as well.
Return in Vol. 3
In Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios confirmed that Zoe Saldana’s Gamora would make a return in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. However, fans were concerned about her fate in the “main timeline” as well.
In Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos sacrificed Gamora to obtain the Soul Stone. This event led to the blip. It caused a series of events in the MCU, but it did not stop Gamora from coming back to life in Vol. 3. During the battle of Earth, she meets a variant of Peter Quill, who is the current Star-Lord. The two fight together, but the variant doesn’t know that Peter Quill is a member of the Guardians.
Considering that Gamora’s death in Infinity War was permanent, fans were shocked to learn that she was alive again in Vol. 3. After being in the wrong place at the right time, she travelled to the present.
Gamora’s absence has had a major impact on Peter Quill. Quill is now a part of the Guardians, but he’s not yet found his footing. He’s also dealing with the loss of his love, Quill.
Seeing Gamora in the new trailer raises many questions about her fate. While she doesn’t have the same experiences in the “main timeline” as she did in Avengers: Endgame, she’s still ready to get back with the Guardians.
In the trailer, Gamora is seen helping Drax escape. Gamora has no idea that Peter Quill is the star of the movie, but she is willing to team up with the Guardians.
The film also teases the story of Rocket Raccoon. His creator is the High Evolutionary. A sociopathic villain, the High Evolutionary is obsessed with perfection and superiority.
Gamora’s absence has been felt in Marvel media for years. It didn’t make sense for Gamora to spend time with the Guardians. Nevertheless, she was thrilled to have a chance to join the group.
If this is the case, then Gamora will have a big role in the sequel. The trailer also reveals some of the new antagonists that will appear in the movie.
Thanos sacrifice
In Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos sacrifices Gamora to get the Soul Stone. He knows he’ll need to sacrifice something in order to complete his plans. The stone is the key to exterminating half of the universe.
Gamora is a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. She is also a high-ranking member of Thanos’ army. As a result, she has endured abuse from her master.
One of the more intriguing aspects of the character’s death is its significance to the MCU. While there’s not much to say about the sacrificial act itself, its presence in the film reveals the complex nature of the relationship between Gamora and her adoptive father.
Gamora’s death is actually a logical progression of Thanos’s plan to kill half of the universe, which he argues is necessary in order to save the other half. This is illustrated on the planet Vormir where Gamora was first born, as well as in the film.
Thanos’ main scheme was to assimilate all four of the Infinity Stones and assemble an Infinity Gauntlet. He also planned to use the stone to defeat half of his enemies.
Although Thanos is a tyrant, he’s a smart one. It’s not surprising that he’d have a plan B, if he had to. After all, he grew up without a family. But he had a plan for his daughter.
Aside from his main plan, Thanos had many other schemes. The best known was his love for Gamora. If Gamora had never been his child, it’s likely that he’d have killed her.
There are many other theories about why Gamora was sacrificed, including a theory that she was sacrificed in order to obtain the Soul Stone. Other possibilities include that she was used as a pawn in Thanos’ plot to exterminate the universe.
However, the real question is whether or not Gamora was really dead. Perhaps Thanos’s tyranny was an act of God. Regardless, the loss of Gamora is an indication that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is not yet over. Fortunately, Gamora will be returning in both the next Guardians of the Galaxy film and the movie sequel, Avengers: Endgame, in 2023.
Relationship with Drax
In Marvel comics, Drax is one of the most powerful Guardians of the Galaxy. He was created by Kronos to destroy Thanos. As a result, his body is almost impervious to harm. However, Drax has a complicated history with Thanos.
Before he joined the Guardians, Drax was a member of the Infinity Watch, a team that was tasked with keeping the Infinity Gems safe. The team also featured Moondragon and Gamora. While they had a lot of infighting, the group eventually disbanded.
Despite this, Drax’s motivation to fight Thanos comes from his family’s murder. He and Nebula are both hellbent on killing Thanos. Fortunately for them, it seems that they have a better chance of defeating him than the other characters.
It is likely that Peter is romantically involved with Gamora. Although the movie doesn’t specifically mention this, it’s possible that the two are dating. They do reference the relationship as an “unspoken thing” in the film.
If you’re a fan of the comics, you’re probably familiar with Gamora. She is one of the main characters of the title series, which was launched in 2006. During the course of the series, she is part of the United Front group, a team of superhumans that attack Annihilation Wave.
There’s a lot we don’t know about Drax, but we do know that he has a daughter named Heather. After Thanos’ destruction, she survived and later turned into an anti-hero called Moondragon.
Drax and Mantis are friends, but they have had mixed interactions in the film. They have a deep love-hate relationship with each other. Though it’s not clear how the two are going to get along in the film, it’s likely that they will have support from the other Guardians.
As for the rest of the characters in the film, you’ll find that they all have different relationships with Gamora. Some are more friendly than others. One of them is Nebula, which makes sense since her father is Thanos. Ultimately, we won’t know all the ins and outs of the character’s relationships until the next movie comes out.
