Fenbendazole powder is a medication used to treat parasites and worms (roundworms, hookworms, whipworms and some tapeworms) in pets. It is a common ingredient in many popular worming treatments, such as Pancur and Safe-Guard. In addition, it is also being used by humans as part of a cancer treatment method known as the Joe Tippens Protocol.
This medication is typically prescribed to cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, carnivores and fur animals infected by nematodes (mature and immature forms), some types of cestodes and trematodes as well as their eggs. It is applied with feed during morning feeding. It is not recommended to use simultaneously with trematocidal drugs and for 7 days after treatment with bromsalanes.
Compounded medications are created by veterinarians or licensed pharmacists on an individual basis to best suit a pet’s unique needs. They may be recommended if your pet has trouble taking pills in capsule form, the dosage strength is not available commercially or your pet is allergic to an ingredient in an FDA-approved medication.
No monitoring is required for this medication. However, your veterinarian may recommend routine fecal examinations to ensure that all internal parasites have been killed and to determine if the deworming schedule should be adjusted. fenben powder
